Ms. Monica Zarate received her Masters of Education degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Miami. Ms. Zarate has extensive experience in the implementation of family-focused prevention and treatment interventions with families of children and adolescents ages 6-17. She uses an evidence-based systemic approach to strengthen family functioning and reduce symptoms—Brief Strategic Family Therapy®. She currently trains and supervises clinicians learning BSFT in community-based agencies nationally and internationally. Ms. Zarate also specializes in working with couples using BSFT. She has extensive work experience in the area of Employee Assistance Programs (EAP). She is a contributing author in the recently published Family Therapy Review: Contrasting Contemporary Models.
Ms. Zarate is fluent in Spanish.
